Jeffery Xiong is a former U.S. prodigy and U.S. Junior Champion originally from Plano, Texas. Along with earning the GM title by the age of 14, Xiong’s tournament achievements include winning the 2016 Capablanca Memorial B Group as well as the 2018 St. Louis Spring Classic. Xiong also notably reached the quarterfinals in the 2019 FIDE World Cup, knocking out Anish Giri and Jan-Krzysztof Duda along the way.
