Dommaraju Gukesh is an Indian chess prodigy and current World No. 3 Junior. Still only 16, Gukesh is considered one of the world’s top prospects and a future top-10 player. His early achievements include winning the U12 World Youth Championship, as well as being one of the youngest players ever to earn the GM title, at the age of 12 years and seven months. More recently, Gukesh shined at the 2022 Chennai Olympiad, scoring 9/11 to earn an individual gold medal on Board 1 and lead India to a bronze medal finish.
